The AF system’s stepping motor moves a single, extremely lightweight lens element, enabling it to work practically without delay. This standard zoom lens with an L-Mount allows you to achieve excellent results both during continuous shooting and while pulling focus in video production.

Design Details

The configuration includes 19 lenses in 15 groups. Multiple aspherical elements as well as glass elements with anomalous partial dispersion reduce spherical and chromatic aberration across the entire range of focal lengths. This results in consistent imaging performance from 24 to 70 mm. Especially in reportage photography, this lens delivers outstanding sharpness, even at a wide aperture. Contrast edges always look clean and subject details are rendered in all their brilliance. With this zoom lens, a close focus distance of just 18 cm at 24 mm allows you to combine detailed close-ups with clear separation. The completely sealed metal housing protects against dust and splash water and is designed for professional applications.
