Design of the APO-Summicron-M 50 f/2 ASPH.
The optical system comprises eight lenses arranged in five groups, incorporating an aspherical surface and multiple glass elements with anomalous partial dispersion. Precise manual focusing and a close focus distance of 0.7 metres offer meticulous control over light, sharpness and background separation. This carefully crafted masterpiece is handmade in Germany from solid brass and aluminium, built to the most exacting standards with uncompromising passion.
